About the Dental Health Centre (Tannhelsesenteret)
The Dental Health Centre was founded in 1990, moving into its current premises in Lørenskog that same year. Today, the Centre is a spacious, state-of-the-art dental practice, featuring 15 treatment suites, 14 dentists and specialists, and multiple dental hygienists.
Our dentists and specialists offer a full range of state-of-the-art dental treatments
All the professionals at the Dental Health Centre cooperate closely with the clinic’s specialists. This results in good dialogue on a routine basis. Our patients benefit from this through rapid, reliable clarification when complex issues arise. There is never any need to refer patients to specialists in other practices, either. Appointments can be made with our in-house specialists as needed, resulting in a seamless course of treatment without undue delays for you as a patient. Follow ups after specialist treatments are handled by our dentists and dental hygienists, in routine consultation with the specialist in charge. This allows us to follow up any complications quickly and effectively, and always under the supervision of a relevant specialist. Our system facilitates closer contact with specialists even during routine visits to a dentist or dental hygienist. This helps assure the high quality of our work.
All those who treat patients at the Dental Health Centre are well-acquainted with each other, so the threshold for seeking advice and guidance from a colleague is low. Medical records and X-rays can be retrieved on any of the clinic’s computers, where photos and digital dental impressions are also stored. Such records are often sufficient for making an initial assessment. If an issue requires that a patient needs to see a specialist in person, arrangements can often be made immediately, without any need for the patient to make a return trip to the clinic. If a specialist is not immediately available, a new appointment can be made for the patient – without any need for a referral.
We keep up to date continuously, and have in-house specialists for gum diseases/periodontics, root canal treatments/endodontics, braces/orthodontics and oral surgery. Whenever there is a need for specialist treatment, the Centre will make the appropriate arrangements. The Centre collaborates with an anaesthesiologist, as some dental treatments are carried out under anaesthesia.
Full range of specialists
The Centre’s full range of specialists enables it to solve complicated and complex challenges. All treatments can be provided at the Dental Health Centre itself, meaning there will never be a need for a referral to specialists at other locations. The day-to-day dialogue and cooperation among our practitioners elevate the Centre’s level of collective expertise, enabling us to recognise opportunities that might not be natural to consider in a smaller operation with more limited expertise and equipment available.
We have an exceptionally well-equipped unit for cleaning and sterilising instruments. Our autoclaves (sterilisation machinery) are inspected on a regular basis by the National Hospital, University of Oslo.
